View Finders

Using a quality view finder or Telrad sight on your telescope will greatly aid in locating objects in the nights sky. Even with today's GOTO telescopes, finder are still needed to located alignment stars and for fine adjustments after the GOTO process in complete.

 

Telrad Reflex sight with base

The TELRAD projects three red rings spaced at 4 degrees, 2 degrees, and 1/2 degree in diameter. These rings are used to "star hop" to objects.

Connecting the TELRAD to your telescope is very simple. The included base can be permanently mounted with screws or with the included double-sided tape. The TELRAD reflex star finder sight uses two AA batteries for powering the illuminated rings. It can be used on large-aperture telescopes and small aperture telescope alike.
